Mezigo copies your mailboxes and their folders, switches your email the same day, and also gives you calendar, Drive, documents, video calls and chat, hosted in Europe.

How it works

You list your mailboxes
Your team's addresses and access to each mailbox: its password, entered without being displayed, or your host's master account if it offers one.

Mezigo copies your mail
Every mailbox, with its folders, most recent first. Nothing is changed or deleted at your host.

Your email switches over
Mezigo checks your domain name settings. Mail that arrives during the switch is picked up from your old mailbox.
What is copied, and what you do yourself
Your host only gives access to your mail. Mezigo copies everything it can read and guides you through the rest, in a few minutes per person.

Mail and folders
Copied by Mezigo, mailbox by mailbox, with sent, drafts and trash folders in their place.

Your addresses
They do not change. Aliases and forwarding cannot be read from the host: you list them when you sign up, and Mezigo recreates them.

Your domain name
A step-by-step guide checks each setting live: receiving, sending, signing and protection against spoofing of your address.

Calendars and contacts
Exported from your old software (Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird), then imported in one click. Copied directly when your host shares them over CalDAV and CardDAV.

Files
Uploaded to the Drive from your computer, folders included. Word, Excel and PowerPoint files open as they are.

The mailboxes copied, the number of messages per folder, and what is left for you to do.

European, end to end
American companies are subject to American law, which can force them to hand data over to their authorities, even when it is stored in Europe (CLOUD Act). At Mezigo, none of your data is entrusted to an American company: it stays under European law.

The apps are open source software, developed in Europe. Their code is public: you do not depend on a single vendor.

Your documents are saved in OpenDocument format. You can still open and export Word, Excel and PowerPoint files.

Mezigo installs and runs this software itself: it is not a service of the French State or of their publishers. The only exception to the European rule: if you come from Google Workspace, Mezigo reads your data at Google to copy it; this access is removed as soon as the migration ends.

Frequently asked questions
Does my host work with Mezigo?
Yes, if it gives access to your mailboxes over IMAP, as almost every host does (cPanel, Plesk and most domain name offers). Sign-up checks it before starting.
Do I need the password of each mailbox?
Yes, unless your host offers a master account. Each password is entered without being displayed, is only used to read the mailbox, and is erased at the end of the migration. You can also change it just before.
Will my mail keep arriving during the switch?
Yes. Your old mailbox stays open: mail that still arrives there during the switch is copied to Mezigo, then again over the following days.
My website is with the same host: what happens to it?
It stays where it is: only your email changes. Mezigo tells you which setting to change so that your website's forms reach your new mailbox.
Can I leave Mezigo?
Yes, at any time and at no cost. You export all your data in open formats from the admin console.
